Angel Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA). She graduated with her Master’s in Counseling from Faulkner University. Before earning her M.S. in Counseling, she was inspired to go into the field of her desire to advocate for and support children with mental illness and maladaptive behaviors. Angel earned her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She earned her MHA to become more versed and rounded in client experiences in healthcare organizations to ensure continuity of care.
Angel has over 10+ years of experience in mental health and healthcare administration. She has gained experience working in underserved areas, residential facilities for risk-teens, men and women correctional facilities, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, private practice, and with senior populations with serious mental illnesses. Her therapeutic approach ranges from family systems, solution-focused, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Angel’s approach to therapy is that every individual has the inherent capacity for growth and healing. Angel views therapy as a partnership to achieve goals, whether that means overcoming anxiety and depression, navigating life transitions, improving relationships, or simply seeking greater self-understanding and fulfillment.
